Catholic spiritual direction is a one-on-one relationship with a trained spiritual guide. The director helps you notice and respond to God’s presence in your everyday life. It isn’t counseling or problem-solving. Rather, it is a sacred space to deepen your prayer, discern God’s will, and grow in interior freedom.
People may seek spiritual direction for several reasons, including
- when they desire a closer relationship with God,
- are discerning an important life decision,
- feel spiritually “stuck,” or
- simply want guidance in cultivating a more intentional life of faith
Through regular conversations, the director helps you reflect on where God may be leading. The director offers clarity, encouragement, and gentle accountability.
At its heart, spiritual direction is about learning to hear God’s voice more clearly so you can follow Him with peace, trust, and purpose.
